- Improvements in EDI service (EDIPRIME). In May, 2004 Tradecom carried out an upgrade to the technological infrastructure of its EDI Service (EDIPRIME). A new hardware platform was put in place and the last version of the EDI Compensation Center was implemented. A more robust service, redundancy and a significant increase of performance allows Tradecom to offer new functionalities and access protocols. These were the main goals of the upgrade. This is aligned with the principles defined for the EDIPRIME service: aim to continuously improve quality of service to its customers.

- New leadership at Tradecom. "We will work to guarantee that changes in the business plan and revenue model have a positive outcome this year", said Luis Franco, Tradecom’s new General Manager. Jorge Lopes maintains his position as CEO, supported by the newly created figure of the general manager, responsible for all operational areas of the company, seamlessly aligned with the Board of Directors. Luís Franco holds a graduate degree in Business Administration and a post-graduation in Multimedia and Communications Management from ISEG (Lisbon, Portugal), and holds a large experience on national and international projects in the purchasing and project management areas. Before joining Tradecom he was project manager at the Corporate Purchasing Office of Portugal Telecom SGPS.
