BES.COM,SGPS,
S.A. - 17%
BES.com is a holding company that has been set up within the
BES group to identify and develop new business models that can
exploit the growth opportunities resulting from careful harvesting
of the potential of new, Internet-related technologies. Its
mission thus consists in generating value from New Economy greenfield
opportunities.
Caixa Web, SGPS,S.A.
- 17%
Caixaweb, S.G.P.S.,
S.A. was founded on 5 July 2000 and has a share capital of 25,000,000
euro, wholly owned by Caixa Geral de Depósitos.
Caixaweb's operations cover non-core areas of the CGD Group,
preferentially in partnership with other companies or institutions,
focusing on projects with the following characteristics:
- They should be profitable and self-sustaining
- Although the projects cover non-core areas, they should have
a positive direct and indirect impact on the core areas of the
CGD Group
- They should include a major e-business component, although
the use of traditional channels is not excluded.
In short, Caixaweb has adopted a "bricks & clicks"
strategy: the "bricks" resulting from its ties with
the Group's traditional business areas, the "clicks"
resulting from its entry into new, online business areas and
the adoption of new technology.
