In November, 2003, CTT initiated it’s e-Procurement project, based on the BuyTradecom solution, integrated in real time with it’s financial and logistics back-end system. The main goal of this project is to modernize the purchasing function, simplifying the procedures and creating electronic purchase orders, eliminating paper. The use of electronic catalogues allows the requisitioners to choose the right products at the correct prices previously negotiated with the supplier. After some months of going live, CTT makes a positive review of the implemented solution.

 
     
     
 
  Attentive to permanent innovation, PT Comunicações joined Tradecom’s business-to-business e-marketplace at the end of 2000, as a buying organisation. By optimising the purchase process through Tradecom’s B2B platform, PT Comunicações intends to develop its relationship with suppliers and to rationalise requisition, purchase and logistic processes.
